SUFFOLK POLICE COLUMBIA ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The Suffolk County Police Columbia Association has formulated a Scholarship Award to assist the children of members of the Columbia Association with the financial expenses incurred while attending college. Two winners, each receiving $500. Will be selected from the eligible entries received. A lottery drawing will be held at the June open meeting of each year. Two winners and two alternates will be chosen. If any winner fails to meet the eligibility requirements, the alternates will be eligible in the order in which their names were drawn.

To enter the drawing, a student must meet each of the eligibility requirements.
Eligible students must fill out the scholarship and return same to:

Entriesmust be received by the close of business on the Friday prior to the June open meeting date.

The Rules for Scholarship Application

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicant must be a dependent child of a dues paying member of the
SUFFOLK POLICE COLUMBIA ASSOCIATION.

2. Must be a full time undergraduate student (12 credits or more) in an approved 2 or 4 year accredited college or university & have completed at least 1 year of study with a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all semesters & having attended school on a full time basis (12 credits or more each semester.)

3. The scholarship award will be made directly to the student and must be used for school expenses. Payment will be made by the Columbia Association after receipt of proof of successful completion of the spring semester prior to the award.

4. Only one application per eligible student will be allowed.
